The Problems with Manual Emergency Response

Outdated plans, scattered communication, and untracked drills leave organisations exposed when it matters most.

Plans Locked in Binders

Emergency response plans exist in binders on shelves. During an actual emergency, critical information is inaccessible, outdated, or inconsistent across sites.

Drill Compliance Gaps

Drills are scheduled on spreadsheets and results stored in folders. No automated tracking means organisations fail regulatory requirements and don't discover it until an audit.

Slow Team Mobilisation

Without a digital mobilisation system, activating your emergency response team requires phone trees and radio calls costing critical minutes in real emergencies.

Poor Situational Awareness

Teams on site, at the command centre, and at head office operate with different information. Real-time situational awareness is impossible without a central communication platform.

No Post-Emergency Learning

After an emergency or drill, findings are captured informally. Lessons learned are never systematically turned into plan improvements, leaving the same gaps open for the next event.

Untracked Resource Deployment

Responders, vehicles, equipment, and medical supplies are deployed without a live record. Post-incident review has no accurate account of what was used and when.

The Emergency Response Record Section by Section

Each emergency event is captured in a structured, role-based record covering classification, response actions, impact, and recovery with a full audit trail throughout.

Incident Details

Classify the emergency with type, severity, and status. Capture date/time, location, affected area, evacuation status, and an initial count of casualties and injuries all in one structured form.

The Workflow

From Activation to Debrief 6 Structured Steps

Every emergency event follows a clear, status-driven workflow. Each step is role-assigned, time-stamped, and linked so nothing is missed from the moment of activation to formal closure.

STEP01

Activation

A new emergency record is raised and set to Active status. A red alert banner is immediately displayed for all users, triggering multi-channel notifications to designated responders.

Activation

STEP02

Response

Log the response team, Incident Commander, and first responders. Record containment measures and resources deployed as tag chips. Update the live evacuation status and casualty count.

STEP03

Containment

Once the immediate threat is controlled, the Incident Commander clicks Mark Contained. The alert banner switches from red to amber and the record status updates accordingly.

STEP04

Stand-Down

When fully resolved, Mark Resolved is actioned. The system auto-stamps the closure date and time, and the record becomes read-only to preserve the integrity of the response log.

Industries

Built for High-Risk Industrial Environments

Oriens Emergency Response is deployed across industries where structured, plan-driven emergency management is a regulatory and operational necessity.

Oil & Gas

Refineries, offshore platforms, and petrochemical plants face high-consequence emergency scenarios including fires, blowouts, and chemical releases requiring structured, plan-driven response.

Chemical & Petrochemical

Sites handling hazardous substances need scenario-specific emergency response plans, real-time containment tracking, and regulatory notification workflows for DOSH and environmental agencies.

Manufacturing

Multi-shift process floors with complex machinery and contractor workforces require fast activation, clear accountability, and coordinated evacuation management across production zones.

Construction

High-risk civil and infrastructure projects with dynamic site conditions demand mobile-first emergency response, rapid headcount verification, and linkage to active work permits.

Power & Utilities

Power generation and transmission facilities managing electrical and thermal emergency risks, with strict regulatory reporting obligations and multi-agency coordination requirements.

Mining

Underground and surface mining operations with elevated risks of gas incidents, structural failures, and medical emergencies requiring pre-configured response plans and muster management.
